REFERRALS

IEG is pleased to pay percentage referral fees to parties who first introduce IEG to new client engagement opportunities. However, referral of potential buyers, investors, financiers for IEG clients does not qualify as a paid referral - referrals apply only to securing the client company. If a party wishes to introduce someone other than the client to IEG, whilst IEG will not pay that party any referral fee, IEG will assist that party in confirming that IEG was first introduced to the prospective acquirer by that party. Hopefully that will assist the party in securing a buy-side fee from the acquirer they introduced to IEG. Essentially IEG is saying IEG does not co-broker and there are two reasons for that: (i) in bankruptcy, it is illegal to fee-split unless there is prior history between those two professionals, and (ii) if IEG is co-brokering with regard to some potential acquirers and not with others there is always the risk of a client assuming bias towards or against a particular acquirer based on potential net fees to IEG. Much simpler not to be exposed to either situation at all.

REFERRAL FEES:

5% BIRD DOG - provide the company name, decision maker and reason for hire

10% FINANCIAL - Bird Dog plus detailed financial statements for the past five years

20% AGENCY - Financial plus signed IEG Agency Agreement, without IEG assistance

All referral fees will be paid to the referring party within five business days of IEG being paid for the transaction. Where a party qualifies for a referral but declines receipt of their referral fee entitlement, IEG will then pay fifty percent of that fee to a charity of the referring party's choice, in the name of the referring party.
